TOOL - REWORK FOR 5.0L EFI TRUCKS
LIGHT TRUCK 1985-86 F-SERIES, BRONCO
CONDITION
1. The outside diameter of the fuel rail (9D280) crossover line for 1985-1/2 is larger. A slight rework of the disconnect service tool is required.
2. For l986 the chassis to engine fuel line connection is changed. This necessitates a slight rework of a similar service tool.
CORRECTION
Figure 15 - Disconnect Service Tool:
1. Rework a T81P-19623-G1-3/8 inch tool per Figure 15 to a 5/8 inch opening. The plastic is easily worked with a rat tail file.
NOTE: Only the rear edge/opening is enlarged. After rework, spray paint the tool yellow and mark/identify it "1985-1/2 Truck 5.0L Gas Line Only".
2. Rework a T81P-19623-G2-1/2 inch tool per Figure 15 to a 5/8 inch opening (rear same as above). After rework, spray paint the tool white and mark/ identify it "1985-86 Truck 5.0L Gas Line Only".
